X was a self employed carer who visited the cafe of a department store. One of the cafe’s employees spilt boiling water onto the top of X’s legs causing burns that took a long time to heal and left slight scarring.
X was unable to work for a period and needed urgent advice on how to best protect her business during this time. X instructed VS and we gave her the advice she needed in respect of her business and her injuries.
We obtained X a settlement £6,000 in personal injury compensation and recovered the £2,500 she lost during the period she was unable to work.
